About the role:
The Administrative Assistant provides a variety of administrative, project management, sales and other support services to executive management and other assigned staff as well as provide support to CPA’s and leaders in the Tax practice area. We are looking for a highly skilled NetSuite Developer to join our team! This person will assist in developing and providing custom solutions for NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. About the role:
The Administrative Assistant – Project Coordinator provides a variety of administrative, project coordination, sales and other support services to executive management and other assigned staff. This individual will represent the executives when interfacing with external and internal clients, potential clients and vendors. About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Sales Tax Account Manager to join our Tax practice area at Squire, a regional audit, tax and advisory firm located in Orem and Salt Lake City, Utah. This person will provide outstanding professional services to small-medium sized business in growth mode who are looking to utilize Squire’s expertise in national sales tax and compliance!
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible to help oversee tax compliance for companies with national sales tax needs
- Familiarity with general sales tax programs across the US and Canada: states, home rule states, and local jurisdictions
- Learn the details of Streamline Sales Tax (SST) Model 1 Program
- Understand the tools and procedures that Sales Tax Account Manager utilize in their day-to-day work
- Provide guidance on new or updating procedures as needed. Changes affect a large group: 9+/- account manager, 100 accounts
- Carry out regular random audits on accounts to check quality and uniformity of work by account managers
- Coach less experienced staff in a positive way to encourage teamwork, excellent client service, and professional development
- Ability to apply common sense and business minded solutions as required by clients
- Understand functionality of sales tax systems in supervising Team Leads: Sovos and Avalara
- Calculation Setup
- Exemption Certificate Management
- Filing Procedures
Training and Resources Management:
- Schedule regular trainings for account manager teams
- Understand internal procedural needs before focusing on external, tax advisory trainings
- Know the existing resources that AM team utilizes and oversee effective ongoing updates
Relationship to Software Vendors:
- Understand the Squire/Sovos relationship and work with Sovos Regulatory personnel as necessary
- Familiarize yourself with SST program administration for direct selling and e-commerce clients
- Understand the Squire/Avalara relationship
- Help advise new or existing clients on strengths/weaknesses of using different sales tax software programs
Client Work:
- Advise clients who have past due SALT obligations, in situations that require longer term work such as Voluntary Disclosure Agreements or Amnesty Programs
- Oversee and manage special projects as needed
Critical Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- Ability to handle high stress and work under consistent deadlines
- Possess a strong ability to work in a team environment, communicate effectively, and be able to apply a solid understanding of national sales tax principles
- Experience mentoring others and ability to help lift the Tax practice area as a whole
- Must be professional in manner and appearance, and must have a positive attitude toward self, other professionals, and our clients

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our HR team. As an HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, admin assisting tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, and basic employee relations. Responsibilities
- Become an expert on Squire’s employee benefits plan- health insurance, expense reimbursements, 401k plan, paid time off, etc.
- Ensure compliance with national and local HR regulations by maintaining employee records and advise on HR policy
- Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures to increase optimization
- Assist in recruitment efforts and participate in Squire’s onboarding/orientation process
- Support departments in applying HR plans and policies that fit with the overall business direction
- Contribute to the preparing, modification, creation of human resources policies and procedures
- Build strong relationships with internal stake-holders and external suppliers, fostering trust and promoting collaboration

Qualifications:

Human Resources Generalist Overview:
Squire & Company, PC has a long history of hiring engaged, productive employees, and we’re looking for an HR Generalist to continue this tradition. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR and a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures. The role will involve being well versed and involved with some or all of the seven pillars of our HR Department which consist of 1) Recruiting, Selection, and Onboarding, 2) Performance Management, 3) Learning and Development, 4) Compensation and Benefits, 5) Employees and Offboarding, 6) HR Software/Human Resource Information Systems, and 7) Diversity and Inclusion. Objectives of this role
- Help refine employee standards and procedures, using existing HR systems as well as improved or recommended processes
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation
- Assist with recruitment efforts, and prepare employees for their assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
- Ensure compliance with national and local HR regulations by assisting in conducting investigations and maintaining records
- Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale building

- Support departments in developing and delivering strategic HR plans that fit with the overall business direction
- Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences, resolving employee grievances, training managers in how to coach and discipline, etc.

- 2+ years or more of experience in human resources
