Utah Business 40 Under 40 Award Recognizes Reuben Cook
Squire is proud to announce that Advisory Partner, Reuben Cook, has been named one of Utah Business Magazine’s 2021 40 under 40 honorees. This award program honors Utah’s most established professionals from influential companies and Reuben has certainly earned that honor.
Reuben is the lead Partner responsible for Squire’s Advisory Services practice area. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Accounting, and a Minor in Information Systems. Reuben stays connected to his profession and continues his education as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA), including his appointment to the UACPA Leadership Council and his continued role as an advisor to the council.
He has recently established more than 20 technology and business partnerships in an effort to enhance the company’s service offerings to the client base and position Squire to be at the forefront of innovations in the marketplace. Beyond that, he has grown the Advisory Services practice 25 percent year-over-year since his leadership appointment in 2018 and increased the firm’s Oracle NetSuite Practice client base by 45 percent over five years.
Demonstrating his exemplary leadership skills, Reuben has launched a number of new service areas at the firm including Cloud ERP Services, Audit Preparatory Services, System Integration Services, and Data Analytics Services. Additionally, he has chaired Squire’s Consumer Product Industry Group as it has expanded by 31 percent year-over-year over five years.
Reuben is passionate about educating younger generations, supporting them as they pursue their careers in accounting. He has enjoyed his time in the classroom as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University where he taught students Management Consulting and Management Accounting.
Reuben is a mover and shaker in the world of accounting and technology consulting—always pushing its limits and bringing new ideas to the table to further benefit those in the industry.
