Oil prices soar as OPEC backs first production cut in 8 years

OPEC has approved its first production cut in eight years, sending oil prices soaring. Ministers agreed to reduce crude production by 1.2 million barrels per day, and non-OPEC member Russia said it will reduce output by 300,000 barrels a day.
