Many companies poised to miss earnings estimates if tax breaks aren’t reinstated

A large number of companies will miss their corporate earnings targets if Congress doesn’t retroactively reinstate more than 50 expired tax breaks. CFOs are baking in the assumption that the tax breaks will be extended when they make their forecasts to make it easier for investors to draw quarterly comparisons.
