House committee votes to revive expired tax breaks

The House Ways and Means Committee moved forward with reviving six tax breaks that lapsed at the end of 2014. “We’ve all been down this road so many times — retroactive extensions, uncertainty,” said Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., chairman of the committee. “Let’s make these permanent. Let’s give people certainty.”
