Job Summary  

We are interviewing for a bookkeeping coordinator positions in our Orem locations. This position performs tasks related to payroll processing, accounting, and bookkeeping, including receipt & processing of payroll documentation and records, and maintains multiple client’s financial records using accounting software and Microsoft Office. Handling onboarding for new clients and transitioning work to others.   

Essential Job Functions  

1. Processes payroll, enrolls companies in payroll registrations, and enrolls companies in payroll software  

2. Assists in transaction entry, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end procedures, year-end procedures, financial reporting  

3. Receives and records incoming payroll documentation  

4. Process employment verifications  

5. Processes hand drawn payroll checks: generates checks, secures authorized signature, prints log and files checks for pickup  

6. Assists in controlling batch numbers and check stock  

7. Assists in preparing all monthly and bi-weekly payroll checks for distribution  

8. Checks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes  

9. Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, or software accounting system.  

10. Receives, records, and deposits cash, checks and vouchers  

11. Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations  

12. Compiles statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables of cash, receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses  

13. Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records  

14. Be accountable for work delegated to you

Qualifications  

1. Excellent interpersonal and client service skills   

2. Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, learn quickly as well as independently problem solve  

3. Ability to meet short-term and long-term deadlines  

4. Ability to quickly learn new software and technology  

5. Ability to work with the pressure of numerous deadlines with numerous projects   

6. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience  

7. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online (preferred but not required)  

8. Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including Assets, Liabilities, Equity, debits, and credits (preferred but not required)
