Large Companies Wait Longer to Pay Vendors

Small businesses are being financially squeezed as large commercial customers wait longer to pay their bills. A recent survey found that nearly 65% of small businesses reported having invoices that went unpaid for at least 60 days, and 20% reported that delinquencies were worsening. "If you're working with one of these large companies as your only customer, they have the power. They can go to somebody else, but you can't go anywhere," said William Dunkelberg, the National Federation of Independent Business' chief economist.
