Doug began employment with Squire & Company in 1992. He worked both full and part-time at the
firm while attending law school and permanently joined the firm's tax department in 1995. Doug
prepares corporate, partnership, trust and individual income tax returns as well as estate tax,
gift tax and other types of returns. He also performs research of tax issues for purposes of
compliance and tax planning.
Doug enjoys working with clients in estate and tax planning, business ownership succession
planning and in resolving complex taxation issues.
Doug graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in accounting. He was named a Karl G. Maeser Scholar by the University in 1990. He
graduated magna cum laude from BYU Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1995. Doug was
the recipient of the 1995 Taxation Award presented by the Law School and sponsored by Research
Institute of American, Inc. During law school, he was a member of the Law Review. He is
currently a member of the Order of the Coif and is also a member of the Utah State Bar.
