Ray is a shareholder of Squire & Company, PC and chairs the assurance practice area of the firm. He received a master of accountancy degree from Brigham Young University in 1983.

Ray is a team leader for many of the firm’s financial statement audits and related services (compliance reports, accounting, internal control evaluations, tax-related services, and consultation) for local governments, school districts, nonprofit organizations, mortgage bankers, and small businesses.

Ray is a member of the Accounting and Reporting Practices Committee of Utah Association of School Business Officials providing research and training support services for school districts. He also serves on the Special Review Committee of the Government Finance Officers Association through reviewing comprehensive annual financial reports of local governments throughout the nation.
