Michael Graduated from Weber State University in 1988. Upon graduating he started his career in public accounting. His experience includes 3 years with a National CPA firm and 7 years with a local CPA firm in Salt Lake City performing auditing and consulting services. He has extensive experience serving clients in the manufacturing, distribution, governments, non-profit, technology, construction, and service industries.

Michael left public accounting in 1998 where he gained additional experience in the manufacturing industries working as a V.P. of Finance/CFO and Director of Business Development. He gained significant experience in the areas of cash management, capital structuring, debt financing and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, internal audit, contract negotiations, fraud detection and prevention, human resources, benefits administration, and marketing.

Michael returned to public practice in 2003 with his own firm where he specialized in consulting, accounting services, fraud prevention and detection, and internal audit outsourcing. He joined Squire and Company in 2004 in the firm’s assurance services and consulting department. He is a member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Certified Fraud Examiners Association.
