Lynn Hillstead, CPA, CVA, graduated in 1978 from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Since then he has worked in public accounting in auditing, tax planning and preparation for closely held businesses and for individuals, and in business consulting. He obtained a certified valuation analyst accreditation in 2000 to be able to better serve clients in areas involving business valuations. He also enjoys working with clients on estate and retirement distribution planning. During his career in public accounting, Lynn has been a partner with two local CPA firms and joined Squire & Company in 2004 and serves clients in the assurance service and tax and consulting service areas .

Lynn grew up on a farm near Afton, Wyoming and still considers himself a dry farmer at heart...just one without the cold weather, the hard work, or the farm. His wife Jere was raised on a fruit farm near Pasco, Washington. They met while attending college at BYU and have lived in Utah since they were married in 1976. They have eight children and are enjoying being grandparents...their first grand child was born in 2004. (Somebody needs to break the news to them that their grandchild is probably not the world's smartest or cutest baby)!
